A 400-acre Biodynamic farm in central Columbia County, NY


Hawthorne Valley Farm was one of the first dairies in the United States to be certified organic. Year round, we provide our cows with a natural, grass-based diet. During the growing season, the cows graze the pastures day and night, and in winter they eat a mix of stored forages harvested from the farm.This careful management and tending leads to happy cows, healthy soil, and delicious dairy products. We currently make four flavors of yogurt – Plain, Maple Vanilla, Strawberry, and Lemon; aged, raw milk, hard cheeses including Cheddar and Alpine; various soft cheeses including Bianca and Mayhill; and Raw Milk, Whey, and Buttermilk. We only use milk from our own herd of 60 dairy cows here at the farm, ensuring the milk to be of the freshest and highest quality. All of our products are 100% certified organic and biodynamic.
