At Hawthorne Valley Farm, we have been making delicious lacto-fermented vegetables since 1999. It started with a crock, a bumper crop of cabbage, and a little salt. The results were a hit, and we have been making sauerkraut (and now lots of other products) ever since! These hand-crafted foods are sold at the Farm Store, are available from our market stands at the Union Square and Inwood Greenmarkets in New York City, and can be ordered by our CSA members. A select list of items are also available via Wholesale and via mail-order through our online marketplace.
