The 2013 Biodynamic Winter Intensive Animals, Humanity and the Living Context of Agriculture offers two weeks of workshops for those seeking a renewed relation to the land. Each year, The Nature Institute and Hawthorne Valley Farm Learning Center offer two complementary weeks of instruction to those seeking a fuller understanding of Biodynamic agriculture. Week-long courses may be taken jointly or separately. Both sessions begin on Sunday evening at 6 pm.

The first week is led by Craig Holdrege and Henrike Holdrege of The Nature Institute. The second week is hosted by Hawthorne Valley Farm Learning Center. Presenters include Steffen Schneider, Hawthorne Valley Farm Director of Farm Operations, Gary Lamb, author and Vice President of the Institute for Social Renewal, Hubert Karreman, large animal vet, author, and national policy maker, and Malcolm Gardner, translator and editor of the central biodynamic text, Rudolf Steiner’s Spiritual Foundations for the Renewal of Agriculture.
