Presentations, a film, and dancing!

On Monday, February 20 at 7:30 pm in the Farm Learning Center, Steffen Schneider will present a report from the Annual Biodynamic Conference in Dornach. The conference theme was "Principles of a future bearing agriculture." 
  
On Tuesday, February 21 at 7:30 pm in the School Hall, Dr. Jennifer Reeve will present "Five Years of Research with the Biodynamic Preparations." Jennifer Reeve is originally from England where she earned a BS in Ecology from the University of Sheffield in 1995. After four years working in environmental education she moved to the United States in 1999 to work at the Josephine Porter Institute for Applied Biodynamics where she was responsible for the production of the Pfeiffer Compost Starter and Field Sprays. She went on to obtain her MS in Soil Science from Washington State University in 2003 followed by her PhD in Soil Science in 2007. She spent seven months as a visiting scientist at the Oak Ridge National Lab in Tennessee before moving to Logan Utah where she currently holds a position as Assistant Professor in Organic and Sustainable Agriculture. This presentation is offered as part of the Biodynamic Winter Intensive.    

On Wednesday, February 22 at 7:30 pm in the Farm Learning Center there will be a screening of "The Greenhorns," a film that explores the lives of America's young farming community - its spirit, practices, and needs. This film screening is offered as part of the Biodynamic Winter Intensive.  

On Thursday, February 23 at 7:30 pm in the School Hall, there will be a dance featuring The Russet Trio with Aldo Lavaggi (violin), Peter Madsen (guitar), Jon Suters (bass), and Quena Crain (dance caller). This dance is offered as part of the Biodynamic Winter Intensive.
