Green Market
|
Union Square Inwood |
We've been attending the Greenmarket in Union Square since 1980 and at Inwood since 2004. We enjoying giving our urban neighbors access to local, farm-fresh, Biodynamic foods and forging relationships between city eaters and rural farmers.
We bring an assortment of foods grown and made on the farm. These include yogurts, cheeses, sauerkrauts and kim chee, breads, and other baked goods.
In season, we bring an array of fresh produce. Everything is certified-Organic and what we can't grow right on the farm,we source as locally as possible.
We look forward to seeing you at the market!

Weather Considerations
Although we are brave and hardy souls here at Hawthorne Valley Farm, we try not to be fool-hardy. Thus, upon occasion, inclement weather and/or hazardous driving conditions prohibit us from making the 2½-hour trip to New York City for the markets. To find out if we are unable to attend a market, please call 518-672-7500 x 250. Thank you for understanding!
Payment Methods
We are pleased to accept the farmers market coupons distributed by the federal Farmers Market Nutrition Program to provide access to fresh produce to seniors and women with infants and children living on limited incomes. We accept these coupons at both our Union Square and Inwood market stands. Both stands are also equipped to accept EBT (electronic benefit transfer) cards (aka food stamps) and standard Visa and MasterCard credit cards. Of course, cash is always accepted too!
