Hawthorne Valley Farm Store $250 Donation to Salvation Army Food Pantry
Harlemville, NY – Hawthorne Valley Farm Store, the premier organic and natural foods grocery store in the Greater Hudson Valley and the Capital Region, today presented a check for $250 to the Salvation Army’s food pantry and kitchen in Hudson, New York.
“We are grateful to Hawthorne Valley Farm Store for their support throughout the year providing bread to the local community, and extremely grateful for their financial aid at this time,” says Jill Wishon, Service Center Director for The Salvation Army in Hudson.
Hawthorne Valley Farm Store has donated more than 2,500 pounds of bread to the service center so far this year.
“Our mission is to bring good food to all the people who are part of our local community,” says Jeremy Laurange, Store Manager of Hawthorne Valley Farm Store. “The Salvation Army and our local food pantries do a great job providing healthy choices to the people who need it most, and we will continue to offer our support in any way we can.”
The Salvation Army Service Center is located at 40 South Third Street in Hudson. The kitchen serves 15,000 meals a year, and the pantry provides food for around 120 families a week. Wishon expects to distribute 115 Christmas food baskets this year.
