Hawthorne Valley Farm Store is seeking a full-time Day Chef to assist in all aspects of running the in-house kitchen operation, ensuring that all foods prepared reflect our organization’s mission, are presented aesthetically on a timely basis and meet all sales and margin goals.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Professional culinary experience.
- The ability to set and execute work priorities in the absence of the Head Chef.
- A passion and commitment for biodynamic, organic, local, and natural foods.
- Experience in serving the public.
- Must be a team player, work well under pressure, and be organized, flexible, self motivated and willing to work long hours and weekends.
- A willingness and ability to learn and grow to meet the changing requirements of the job.
This is a full-time position. Hourly wage is negotiable and based on experience. Excellent benefits package. Candidates must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, have the ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for an 8-hour shift. Position is available immediately. We are an EOE.
