Farm Fresh Winter Food Tasting
Taste locally inspired recipes prepared by Chefs Consortium on Saturday, January 28 from 11 to 3 at Hawthorne Valley Farm Store. All shoppers are in for a culinary treat with the flavors of farm fresh recipes with ingredients from Hawthorne Valley’s 400-acre Biodynamic farm in Columbia County New York and other farms and food processors in the region.

Chefs Consortium will host a morning of home-grown cooking. The menu highlights include all-natural local organic and Biodynamic farm ingredients.
• Potato Cheddar Hash including Hawthorne Valley Farm cheddar cheese and local potatoes.
• Local Fruit Compote served in crepes with Hawthorne Valley Farm maple flavored yogurt.
• Pork Braised Winter Greens – winter greens braised with Hawthorne Valley Farm’s Biodynamic smoked bacon.
• Seared Tofu – Ithaca Soy Tofu seared and glazed with Hot Pepper Jelly from Beth’s Farm Kitchen.
• Sauer Kraut Seth’s dilly beans, kraut and kim chee
• Ricotta demonstration – chefs will make fresh ricotta from Hawthorne Valley Farm’s raw milk
